Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, MJ Akbar stated that it is the prerogative of his party president Amit Shah about what responsibility he chooses to bestow upon whom.
Responding to Varun Gandhi's name being dropped as general secretary from Shah's team of office-bearers announced today, Akbar told ANI, "Amit shah will give responsibility to everyone and I have no doubt about that. As far as post is concerned, he will decide who gets what, but I am sure everybody will get to do something or the other."
BJP President Amit Shah today announced his new team of office bearers which include 11 vice presidents, 8 general secretaries, 4 joint general secretaries, and 14 secretaries.
The new General Secretaries include J.P. Nadda, and Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Muralidhar Rao, Ram Madhav, Saroj Pandey, Bhupendra Yadav, RS Kateria and Ram Lal .
Conspicuously ,Varun Gandhi has not been included in the list.
