President greets Trinidad and Tobago on eve of its National Day

President Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Trinidad and Tobago government and its people, on the eve of its National Day to be celebrated tomorrow.

In his message to the President of Trinidad and Tobago, Anthony Carmona, the President has said, "On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me great pleasure to convey to Your Excellency warm greetings and felicitations on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago."

"India and Trinidad and Tobago traditionally enjoy close and friendly relations which have expanded through exchanges of visits at the political, official and people-to-people level. I am confident that relations between the two countries will develop further through common platforms of the Commonwealth and CARICOM," he added.

"On this occasion, I wish to convey my best wishes for your happiness and good health, as well as for the peace and prosperity of the friendly people of Trinidad and Tobago," he further added.
