President Pranab Mukherjee was conferred with an Honorary Doctorate in Moscow on Friday by the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The President's office shared the information via twitter.
"#PresidentMukherjee was conferred a honorary doctorate today in Moscow by the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs," it said.
Earlier today, President Mukherjee, currently on his four-day official tour to Russia, met Indian Ambassador PS Raghavan in Moscow.
The President is in Moscow to witness the Victory Day parade on Saturday, which marks the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Allied forces in the Second World War.
