Denouncing the bomb attack at the residence of the Executive Engineer of Electricity Department at at Uripok, Khwairak Shelungba Leirak by unidentified miscreants on July; a sit-in protest was staged by members of Uripok Bachaspati/ Sinam Leikai Women's Association along with United Club and Library.
The bomb fell at the premises of the house 8 at around 9 pm and damaged a portion of the wall and flower pots but could have caused severe casualties to members of the family if it had landed at some other place in the house.
Protesters stated that bomb attack at public places was highly condemnable and appealed to the perpetrators not to carry out such deadly attacks in future.
The protesters also displayed placards and banners saying "who is looter, we hate looter, don't be a looter", "bombs for not realizing monetary demand, it's very irritating", "condemn bombing on civilian place".
