Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh's mother Rajmata Mohinder Kaur of Patiala passed away on Monday in Patiala at the age of 94.
She was the wife of the late Maharaja of Patiala, Yadavindra Singh. Kaur entered politics in 1964.
She served as a member of Rajya Sabha from 1964 to 1967 as a Congress party member.
In 1967, she was elected to the 4th Lok Sabha (1967-71) from the Patiala constituency.
