South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada bagged 10-wicket overall as his side crushed Sri Lanka by 282 runs on the fourth day in the second Test to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series at Newlands here on Thursday.
Having resumed their innings on 130-4, Lanka failed to last the first session Day Four at Newlands and were dismissed after just over 100 minutes of play.
The Angelo Mathews-led side managed to add only 94 runs for their final six wickets before being bundled out for 224 runs in their chase of massive a 507-run target.
Rabada was pick of the bowlers for the Proteas as he finished with match figures of 10/92, including his second innings figures of 6/55.
Vernon Philander bagged three wickets while Keshav Maharaj chipped in with a wicket each.
Earlier, opener Dean Elgar (55) struck a half-century while Faf du Plessis contributed significant 41 as Australia declared their second innings on 224-7.
South Africa, who won the opening match by 206 runs, will play the final inconsequential Test beginning on January 12 at the Wanderers.
