With campaigning having entered the last leg in Rajasthan, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Monday took a potshot at his Congress counterpart Rahul Gandhi saying that in the coming days, Rahul will have to use binoculars to locate Congress-ruled states on Indian map.
"In the coming days, Rahul Gandhi will have to locate Congress on India's map using binoculars. Since 2014, after Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, the BJP has won elections in 19 states and its saffron flag is flying in 70 per cent of the national area," Shah said while addressing an election rally at Pratapgarh in poll-bound Rajasthan.
Continuing his tirade against Gandhi scion, Shah claimed that the Congress lacks vision, mission, and policy, and has no leadership. "The four generations of the Gandhi family have done nothing for the poor and downtrodden of the society and Rahul Gandhi has the audacity to ask what the BJP has done for the country," he added.
Shah further said that while the BJP considers common man as the party's "own mother and father, the Congress governments have been mired neck-deep in corruption with scams unearthed in every element of the earth-right from the universe to inferno."
"The Congress party did ISRO and 2G scams in the universe, Westland helicopter scam in the sky, Adarsh Society scam on land, the submarine scam in the sea and coal scam beneath the earth," Shah added.
The assembly elections in Rajasthan are due on December 7 while the counting of votes will take place on December 11.
