Union Food Processing Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy have said that the Railway Budget for 2014-15 aims at improving basic facilities for commuters.
Rudy told ANI, "The Rail Budget is a recipe of new ideas. It is futuristic, positive and has got great ideas in it. The first idea is to put railways on tracks and for that no populous announcements has been made. We have to work on stock of railways and improve the operating system. We have to improve the faith capacity, efficiency and cleanliness. We are heading towards creating a world class Railways. This is the road map for the coming days."
"We have passengers for both Rajdhani as well as Janta specials, so we have to improve qualities in every sector," he added.
Harsimrat told ANI, "Appointment of lady police constables is a progressive step towards women's safety travelling alone in trains. I congratulate the government for presenting such a balanced budget. For the first time such a budget has been presented where real problems are dealt with."
