Heavy rains hit parts of the national capital on Thursday, bringing respite to the people of the city from the scorching heat wave.
The southwest monsoon has been lashing West Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.
It has further advanced into some more parts of Gujarat, Bihar and will also advance into the remaining parts of north Arabian sea, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, some more parts of Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and Rajasthan during the next 48 hours.
