As the raging controversy surrounding former IPL boss Lalit Modi took a new turn with Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's alleged involvement in the case, Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad on Wednesday said that she would surely revert after taking into account all the details.
"As regards with the Rajasthan issue is concerned, the details have to be taken into account. I think Vasundhara ji has spoken slightly yesterday, surely she will revert," the BJP leader said.
"As far as impropriety allegation is concerned, I don't buy that logic. In the case of Sushma Swaraj not only she herself, but the party president Rajnath Singh and Arun Jaitley all explained the position of the party. It was a case of compassionate intervention for a humanitarian cause," he added.
Meanwhile, the Rajasthan State Congress passed a proposal asking for Raje's resignation for allegedly backing the former IPL chairman's immigration application.
Raje had, however, yesterday denied the allegations levelled against her. She said that she did not have knowledge about any such documents.
According to reports, the documents released by Lalit Modi's public relations team reveal that Raje had backed the former IPL chief's UK immigration application in August 2011 on the condition that her support would be kept a secret.
