Rejecting Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi's remark that the NDA government is scared of him, and therefore, will not let him speak in parliament, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday said the government is not in the business of stopping anyone who is willing to speak in the august house.

"Our government will not stop anyone from speaking. Whoever wants to speak in the Parliament can speak," Singh told the media here.

Gandhi said that the BJP-led NDA Government would not let him speak in the Parliament because they are scared of his remark.

"The government said they are open to a discussion. Yes. But they will not let me speak in the Parliament. I will speak (in Parliament) but they will not let me speak because they are scared of what I will say," Gandhi told the media here.

Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned thrice on the first working day over slogan-shouting and protests by the Opposition over the suicide of research scholar Rohith Vemula at the Hyderabad Central University last month.
