The Rajya Sabha on Monday was adjourned till 2 p.m. after the deadlock between the government and the opposition benches on the issue of religious conversion refused to die down.

Earlier, the Upper House of Parliament faced two adjournments on the same issue with the Opposition repeating their demand for the Prime Minister's statement on the issue.

They alleged that the government is following an unacceptable agenda of trying to convert Muslims and Christians to Hinduism.

The Upper House was paralysed all of last week over the same issue.
