Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Varun Dhawan have been shortlisted to play musical legends Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi in Arif Ali's second film 'Sitaarey', claim sources.
The film is confirmed to be a musical saga. However, the identities of the singers it focuses on is yet to be officially revealed, reports the Dawn.
Talking about the film, a source said the buzz is that the film has been inspired by the lives of two great male singing legends of the 70s who were friends yet competitors as far as their singing was concerned.
Meanwhile, the director of the film said that it will follow a simple story and producer Arjun N. Kapoor has promised that careful attention will be paid to the re-creation of the 70s era.
