Real's Sami Khedira backs 'genius' Ozil to win PL title for Arsenal

Real Madrid player Sami Khedira has hailed his former teammate and current Arsenal footballer Mesut Ozil as a 'genius' and backed him to win the Premier League title for his new club.

Khedira plays for Germany with Ozil, who has been a revelation at the Emirates, helping Arsenal to ten straight victories ahead of Sunday's trip to West Bromwich Albion.

According to the Mirror, Khedira praised Ozil, saying that although Arsenal has a strong team, the addition of Ozil has made them the best team in England, adding that he is confident that Ozil can be the player that makes things happen for them and win them the championship.

Stating that Ozil is a genius on the field, Khedira also said that he understood as a player and a friend Ozil's decision to leave Real, adding that even though he has not got used to the Premier League yet, he is already playing an impressive game for Arsenal.

Khedira also backed the 'winning mentality' of the German members of the team like Ozil, Per Metersacker, Lukas Podolski, saying that they are the sort of players Arsenal need if they are to win trophies.
