Real Madrid tasted their first defeat of the current La Liga season as Sevilla clinched a 3-2 win over the former on Monday.
Defender Sergio Ramos put his side in lead first in the 22nd minute of the game before forward Ciro Immobile smashed an equalizer in the 36th minute, the Guardian reported.
Midfielder Ever Banega doubled the lead for Sevilla in the 61st minute followed by the third goal from forward Fernando Llorente.
Real's James Rodriguez thumped another goal for his side in the last minute to make it 2-3 against the hosts.
Real have slipped down to the second spot with this defeat, while Sevilla are languishing down at the tenth spot.
Real will now lock horns with Barcelona, who are at the top in league table, on November 21.
