New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham has been ruled out of the remaining Tests of the three-match series against Australia after suffering from back injury.

Confirming the news, coach Mike Hesson said that Neesham, who had suffered from injury earlier this year, is still experiencing discomfort while bowling extended loads.

Fast bowler Mitchell McClenaghan will replace Neesham for the remaining two matches, the Guardian reported.

Speaking on his inclusion, Hesson said that McClenaghan has the required ability and experience to contribute a lot to the team.

New Zealand are currently trailing 0-1 in the series following their 208-run defeat against Australia in first Test.

The two sides will play the second Test at Perth from November 13 followed by first day-night Test at Adelaide from November 27.
