Robert Lewandowski smashed five goals in under nine minutes, including fastest hat-trick by a player in Bundesliga history, to help Bayern Munich claim a thrilling 5-1 win over arch rivals Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena.
Daniel Caliguri put the tourists ahead in the 26th minute before Polish striker Lewandowski came off bench at half-time to breach Wolfsburg's defense by launching his sensational goal scoring streak in the 51th minute.
Reflecting on the polish international's performance, Bayern manager Pep Guardiola said that he was very happy for Lewandowski, adding that it was extremely important for his confidence and their future, the Guardian reported.
With the win, Bayern are three points clear on top of the table after six games.
