Though India is known for its deep-rooted art and music, Rekha Bhardwaj feels Pakistan's 'Coke Studio' has got the edge over India's.

According to a recent interview with a leading daily, the 'Namak Ishq Ka' hit-maker said that the Pakistan Coke Studio brings "their folk music and ghazals together and embellish it beautifully," reports the Dawn.

"Their Coke Studio is way ahead of ours. They don't kill their verses by sound and keep the essence of their songs alive. They bring their folk music and ghazals together and embellish it beautifully," she said.

Referring her experience in the Pakistan music industry as "an exchange programme," Rekha said that there is not much difference between the industries across the border.

"They have immensely talented artists like Atif Aslam and Ghulam Ali sahib. There is not a lot of difference between our and their industry apart from the type of music that is being composed," she said.

The 'Sasural Genda Phool' singer lent her voice to a Pakistani movie named 'Bin Roye' last year and her track was titled 'Chan Chariya.
