Indian archer Atanu Das has marched into the round-of-32 of the Men's individual event after thrashing Nepal's Muktan Jitbahadur 6-0 here on Tuesday at the Rio Olympics.
The 32-year-old, who hails from West Bengal, remained in possession throughout the last-32 elimination round as he went on to win all the three sets against his Nepalese opponent.
After dominating the first two sets with the scores of 29 each, Atanu capitalized on it brilliantly and shot the perfect 30 in the third round in contrast to the Nepalese international's 26 to finish the competition with the final score leading 6-0.
The Indian archer will now face the winner of the match between Mexican international Ernesto Boardman and Cuban international Adrian Andres Puentes Perez for a place in last-16 .
