Congress leader Rita Bahugana Joshi filed her nomination from Lucknow on Saturday and was seen offering prayers prior to filing her forms.
Joshi slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Rajnath Singh for quitting his Ghaziabad constituency and instead choosing to contest from Lucknow.
"It sends a wrong message to the people, quitting one constituency and joining another. BJP will lose from Ghaziabad constituency and had he (Rajnath Singh) filed from Ghaziabad, then also BJP would have lost. He has had no contact with the masses, nor did he get any welfare work done. He quit from his constituency, so this is not leadership and one doesn't win votes on the basis on emotions," she said.
