Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Manoj Jha on Tuesday seemed to back the Janata Dal-United (JD-U) for selecting Jitan Ram Manjhi as the new chief minister of Bihar.
It also attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for describing Manjhi as a rubber stamp before judging his work.
"Our party chief has said that it is their internal party issue. What surprises me is that without seeing his work, the BJP has described him as a rubber stamp chief minister. You should see the work of a person before making such comments. He has just been named as the next chief minister and is yet to take oath. The BJP is merely showing its pro-Brahmin mentality which is its truth," Jha said.
The BJP had described Manjhi as a puppet and urged Bihar Governor D.Y.Patil to ask the Janata Dal-United party to parade each of their MLAs as proof that they had the numbers to nominate Manjhi for the chief minister's post.
