Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo has scored his 23rd hat-trick for the Spanish giants during their 5-1 thrashing of Real Sociedad at the Bernabeu on Saturday in the La Liga.
The win takes Carlo Ancelotti's team to within three points of leaders Barcelona who would be playing away to Real Betis on Sunday.
According to CNN, the Portuguese star opened the scoring in the 12th minute before French striker Karim Benzema doubled the lead six minutes later, following which Ronaldo tucked away his second goal of the night from the penalty spot eight minutes later. lthough the visitors scored in the 61st minute with the help of Antoine Griezmann despite Sami Khedira taking Real to 4-0 in the 36th minute, however, Ronaldo bagged his third and Real's fifth goal with 14 minutes remaining, clinching a decisive win.
