Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has said that the defending Premier League champions may be a surprise package in the title fight after inspiring their comeback against Hull City.
Rooney equalised with a stunning strike - his 150th Premier League goal for United - as they recovered from 2-0 down to make it five straight wins.
According to the Mirror, Rooney said that although United had some poor results at the start of the season, but they are fighting fiercely now and may surprise the contestants in the challenge for the title.
Rooney was pleased with his goal, claiming it was one of the best he has scored as it 'bounced kindly' for him.
