'Insidious' actor Rose Byrne is set to voice the 'Mother' robot in the sci-fi thriller, 'I Am Mother'.
Byrne is joining Hilary Swank, who won best actress Academy Awards for 'Million Dollar Baby' and 'Boys Don't Cry,' and Clara Rugaard, reports Variety.
Being helmed by first-time feature filmmaker Grant Sputore, the film is based on an original concept. It is about a lonely girl, played by Rugaard, who is raised by 'Mother'- a kindly robot designed to repopulate the earth following the extinction of mankind.
Expressing her delight over the casting, Byrne said, "So excited to be part of Grant's unique, eerie, unnerving and visionary science fiction piece. He is such an exciting talent to come out of Australia and I am so flattered to be on board with such an incredible artist.
