Sam Smith has sparked rumors of his split with boyfriend Zeizel by sharing a sad selfie on Instagram.
The 'Stay With Me' singer posted a cryptic selfie on Instagram showing him sporting a sad face and holding a glass of red wine, E! Online reported.
He captioned the pic as, "Sometimes you just need to lay in bed with a glass of red wine and a football T-shirt and listen to Joni Mitchell. It's been a sad day. Beautiful show, but sad day x."
The 22-year-old singer also spoke about his love life cryptically before performing 'Good Thing' in Toronto saying that when he fell in love with the person who inspired the majority of this record, he had had this fight in him to end it when he could've carried on.
Smith added that however, he decided to write this song and the day before he wrote this song, he basically went on his phone, and he deleted their number and he deleted everything and the reason why this song is very special for him today is that he have actually had to do a very similar thing today with someone he have been seeing.
Smith and Zeizel took their relationship public earlier this month, posting cute pics of the two together.
