The Ministry of Defence in UK and France are currently keeping a close eye on the SAS to find clues regarding their involvement in Princess Diana's suspected 'murder plot'.

According to the Daily Star, security service officials are digging up the files from the 1997 Paris car crash that killed Diana, her beau Dodi Fayed and driver Henri Paul, to find any possible links to the SAS.

The Ministry of Defence has joined forces with security agencies MI5 and MI6, Special Branch, the Royal Marine Commandos and even the French security services, in examining files and reports from the time.

An insider told the publication that the collective forces are going through files to double check if any SAS soldier or reservist went absent without leave or ran amok.

The source added that the team does not think that the Princess of Wales was murdered but they don't want to miss anything.
