The all-party delegation led by Telangana Chief Minsiter K. Chandrashekar Rao, which was scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 6 in the national capital with a motive to take assent on the categorisation of the Scheduled Castes (SCs) Bill, has been postponed till further notice.
The Prime Minister Office wrote to Rao to inform that the proposed meeting has been postponed and the next date of appointment will be conveyed later.
The proposed meeting of the delegation was organised against the backdrop of agitation by certain outfits for categorisation of SCs. The categorisation of SCs is being sought on the ground that they have not been benefitted much in the existing system.
