Sean Penn and Charlize Theron are reportedly not engaged and the actor never popped the question to her, according to reports.
The insider said that pals of the couple would be surprised by a proposal, adding that Theron's not engaged yet.
It had been earlier reported that Penn had popped the question during an evening walk on the beach near her Malibu beach house.
