Yet another police complaint has been registered against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) youth wing leader Yogesh Varshney, who declared on camera a "bounty of Rs. 11 lakh" for beheading West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The second FIR against Varshney has been filed by a person named Tapas Mandal in the Bolpur Police Station in Birbhum district of the state.

A case under Section 115,117, 120b, 506, 505(1)a, 505(2), 504 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered.

Meanwhile, following the increasing commotion and tension in the area, the CID has been handed over the investigation.

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) party yesterday filed the first complaint against Varshney.

Confirming this development, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajesh Kumar Pandey said: "Some media reports highlighted that some minister made remarks against West Bengal chief minister. In the morning itself, through local intelligent units, we found that he had distributed a press note in newspapers where he made some remarks against the Chief Minister. In connection with this, the TMC's district president filed a complaint."

Varshney issued the outrageous threat during Hanuman Jayanti rally in Birbhum on Sunday.
