The Security guard of Congress candidate Gurjit Singh Aujla has been found dead outside latter's house on Wednesday.
The reason of death is not known as yet.
Aujla is a Congress candidate for Lok Sabha bye election from Amritsar.
The Congress party, on January 13, announced that Aujla will be the candidate for the by-polls to the Amritsar Lok Sabha seat in Punjab.
The seat was vacant after Amarinder Singh resigned over the Sutlej Yamuna canal issue.
