'Selma's Ava DuVernay, David Oyelowo working on Hurricane Katrina flick

'Selma' director Ava DuVernay and star David Oyelowo have reunited for a new project framed around the catastrophic Hurricane Katrina.

The duo is developing a narrative feature that is said to be a sweeping love story and murder mystery, Deadline.com reported.

While DuVernay would pen, produce and direct the film, Oyelowo,38, would produce and star.

Jeff Skoll and Jonathan King are on board as exec producers on the movie, which is being backed by Participant Media.
