Sensex closes up by 200 points; Nifty hits 7850 level

Recovering yesterday's losses, the market rallied earlier in the day with the Sensex ending up 171.15 points at 25822.99.

Nifty on the other hand traded ahead of the level 7850 following the September F&O expiry tomorrow.

Both the midcap and small cap index traded lower by 0.47 percent with a negative bias.

Among the sectoral indices the auto performed as the topmost laggard with Bosch and Motherson Sumi contributing most losses.
