The market on Monday extended gains with the Sensex trading and rising 153.10 points to 25105.84, which was aided by the banking, financials and FMCG stocks.
The Nifty on the other hand reclaimed 7650, rising 46.15 points to 7650.50. The market breadth remained positive with ITC contributing the maximum to Sensex's gain.
It surged almost three percent giving a positive run to the market. Other gainers in the market were HDFC, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, SBI, Axis Bank, Sun Pharma, HUL and Bharti Airtel, which gained more than one percent. Lupin, Dr Reddy's Labs and BHEL declined over a percent.
