World number one Serena Williams continued her supremacy over her Russian rival Maria Sharapova, defeating her in straight sets in their Wimbledon semi-final clash on the Centre Court on Thursday.
The defending champion won 6-2, 6-4 against the world number four and will face Garbine Muguraza of Spain for the title clash, the BBC reported.
Serena has now extended her winning run against Sharapova to over 17 matches over 11 years.
In the mixed doubles, Indian-Swiss duo of Leander Paes and Martina Hingis thrashed Polish-Russian combination of Marcin Matkowski and Elina Vesnina 6-2, 6-1 in just 44 minutes to reach the semi-finals.
They will now take on American top seeds Mike Bryan and Bethanie Mattek-Sands for a place in yet another final.
Meanwhile, India's Rohan Bopanna's bid to enter his maiden Wimbledon doubles final came to a disappointing end as he and his Romanian partner Florin Mergea were defeated in a marathon five-set encounter against fourth seeded Dutch-Romanian pair of Jean Julien-Rojer and Horia Tecau.
