India's tour of Sri Lanka to start from August 12

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed on Thursday that India will tour Sri Lanka for a three-match Test series in August-September this year.

The Virat Kohli-led side will take on the subcontinent rivals in the first Test on August 12 at Galle.

While the second Test will be played at Tamil Union Oval on August 20, third game is scheduled to start from August 28 at SSC Colombo.

India will also play a three-day warm-up game against Sri Lanka Chairman's XI before the Test series.
