Richard Gasquet produced a resilient performance to defeat French Open champion Stan Wawrinka in a pulsating five-set thriller to reach Wimbledon semi-finals.
The Frenchman overcame Wawrinka 6-4, 4-6, 3-6, 6-4, 11-9 in a gruelling contest that lasted three hours and 28 minutes.
Although Wawrinka fought back to clinch second and third set, Gasquet battled past the two-time Grand Slam champion in the next two sets to reach a Wimbledon semi-final for the first time since 2007.
21st seed Gasquet will now meet world number one Novak Djokovic for a place in the final, the BBC reported.
Meanwhile, Djokovic claimed a comfortable 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 win over reigning US Open champion Marin Cilic to reach his 27th Grand Slam semi-final.
