The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that several districts of Himachal Pradesh are likely to receive rain and snowfall on Friday.
According to IMD, the districts of Shimla, Solan, Sirmour, Kangra, Mandi, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, and Una are likely to receive thunderstorm and rain between 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, while snowfall is likely to occur in the districts of Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur and higher altitude levels of Shimla in the same time period.
The maximum temperature departure in most parts of Himachal Pradesh was 'markedly below normal' at less than -5.1 degrees, while the minimum temperature departure was 'below normal' at between -1.6 to -3 degrees on Thursday, as per an IMD report.
