Shraddha Kapoor, who began her Bollywood journey with films like 'Teen Patti' and 'Luv Ka The End' and later did some great movies like 'Aashiqui 2'followed by super hits like 'Ek Villain', 'Anybody Can Dance 2' and Baaghi is all set to woo her fans with her upcoming film 'Haseena Parkar', the film in which Shraddha will be seen in a grey character for the first time.
While talking exclusively to ANI, the 'Ok Jaanu' actress said, "Primarily it was the story which convinced me to do this film as it was very emotional. Being the sister of the most wanted person, Haseena has gone through a lot and so it became very challenging for me as an actor to portray her character onscreen."
Lauding her director Apoorva Lakhia, Shraddha shared, "He prepped for the film for about 2 years and also spent time with Haseena Parkar and that in itself was helpful for all of us because he was too close to film and her story."
'Haseena Parkar' is Shraddha's first biopic in which she has got an extreme makeover and bears an uncanny resemblance to Dawood Ibrahim's beloved sister.
Haseena Parkar's story revolves around the dramatic life of Dawood Ibrahim's sister, who was formerly known as 'The Queen of Mumbai'.
Siddhanth Kapoor, son of actor Shakti Kapoor, will be seen portraying Dawood Ibrahim alongside his sister Shraddha in the film and it's for the first time that we will see Shraddha playing a grey character on screen.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film also features Ankur Bhatia, who will essay Haseena's husband Ibrahim Parkar in the film.
'Haseena Parkar' is all set to hit the theatres on September 22.
