Movie bosses at DreamWorks Animation are developing a fifth installment of the Shrek franchise, it has been revealed.

CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg insists the friendly ogre and his pals will be back in a new film if he has his way.

He told Fox Business Network that they'll have another chapter in the Shrek series.

Shrek, which stars Mike Myers, first hit theatres in 2001 and the last film was released in 2010.

The movie news comes just days after it was announced a Shrek themepark attraction will open in London in 2015.
