Snoop Dogg is developing a new drama series for HBO about a Los Angeles family in the early 1980s, it has been revealed.
The 'What's My Name' hitmaker will serve as an executive producer and that Rodney Barnes, an executive producer and writer for 'The Boondocks', will be writing the series, Deadline.com reported.
The American rapper said while discussing the show during a South by Southwest keynote that HBO is the number one network in the world as far as developing and having these types of shows come to life.
He continued that this was a dream come true to be able to tell a story that was going to be told the right way on the right network.
The drama series has not been given any name yet, and it HBO hasn't given it a final sign off either.
