The Warner Bros Studio has announced that the famous 78-year-old train Hogwarts Express from the 'Harry Potter' movies will go on display in March, 2015.

Opening on 19 March, the 20,000 square foot construction, at the Warner Bros Studio in Watford, will include the original Hogwarts Express steam engine and a recreation of the iconic platform 9 3/4, the Daily Star reported.

The British steam train no. 5972, 'Olton Hall,' which was used as the Hogwarts Express throughout the film series, will return to its production home, to be displayed on a set of tracks, complete with billowing steam.

Visitors will have the chance to climb aboard the train's carriage that was used during filming to relive their favourite 'Harry Potter' moments and pose with a luggage trolley as it disappears through the platform wall.

There will also be a steam-train-themed shop on the platform, which will be constructed by the same crew who worked on the film.

Sarah Roots, Vice President of Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, said that they can't wait to open their first expansion, Platform 9 3/4 just before the Studio Tour's third anniversary in March and since the Hogwarts Express had a starring role in the films, they're excited that it will be taking centre stage in the new area.

Roots added that it's the piece that visitors have most requested to see and they're expecting a fantastic response.

Stuart Craig, the Production Designer on all eight Harry Potter films, added that the Hogwarts Express was the setting for many iconic scenes, from Harry, Hermione and Ron's first meeting to the moment the trio's children embark on their first journey to school 26 years later.
