Australian pacer Mitchell Starc believes that they can still win the tournament despite their early World Twenty20 loss to Pakistan.
Although Starc reportedly admitted that his team was 'outplayed in all aspects' by Pakistan as Australia was unable to close out the game from a winning position set up by batsmen Glen Maxwell and Aaron Finch, he said they can definitely bag their first T20 title.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the paceman believes that Australia has the skills to take down anyone in the short format of cricket, starting with defending champions West Indies, who face Australia on Friday.
Starc also said that for Australia every game is a 'must-win' now adding that it is a grand final every time they walk onto the field, starting against the West Indies.
However, the Australian squad is keenly aware that if they lose their match against West Indies, it will almost certainly knock them out of the T20 tournament, the report added.
