Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has admitted that the club has surpassed all of his expectations as they compete for the Premier League title against big-spending clubs such as Chelsea and Manchester City.
The Uruguayan international has helped Liverpool get to the top of the Premier League table five points ahead of second placed Chelsea with three games to go and the club looks certain of their first league title victory after 24-years.
Suarez said that winning the Premier League title would be something that no one would believe because despite having good players, the club has not got the players to be up on top of the table, the Guardian reported.
Suarez, who has scored 30 Premier League goals this season for Liverpool with three games still left to play, said that the truth is that the club has surprised itself at how well they have been playing.
The striker said that they have got good players who are demonstrating why they are in Liverpool and that it would be something amazing even to England because of the investment made by Chelsea, City and Arsenal, with even Tottenham Hotspurs spending over 120 million-euros but Brendan Rodgers' side with so little investment to be at the top position.
Suarez also said that there is a lot of potential for Liverpool in the years ahead as the club has got several young players such as Daniel Sturridge, Philippe Coutinho, Luis Alberto, who has not played much, Joe Allan, Jon Flanagan, etc who are all in a good team, the report added.
