Union Health Minister Dr.Harsh Vardhan has sought a report from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) director over an AIIMS doctor's allegations that the autopsy in Sunanda Pushkar's death was submitted under pressure.
"I have asked the director of AIIMS, Dr M.C Mishra, to submit an official report to me regarding this matter," said Dr Harsh Vardhan.
Harsh Vardhan also told ANI that the former forensics head Dr Gupta, who has claimed that Pushkar's autopsy was made under pressure, had also given a presentation regarding his promotion, soon after he assumed charge as the Union Health Minister.
Sunanda Pushkar, 52, was found dead in her hotel room in Leela Palace in New Delhi's Chanakyapuri on January 17.
Prior to her death, Pushkar had been involved in a Twitter scandal allegedly involving her husband Shashi Tharoor and a Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar.
