The Supreme Court will today continue hearing the final arguments of the Delhi government's plea seeking a clarification on its powers against the Centre.

A bench of the Apex Court, headed by Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri, is hearing the case.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government had moved the Court challenging the Delhi High Court's order which said that the Lieutenant Governor (LG) is the administration head of the government of NCT and he is not required to act on the advice of the Delhi Cabinet.

In an earlier hearing, the Supreme Court said the Delhi government and the Lieutenant Governor can carry on with their 'Mahabharat' as long as they want but people cannot be made to suffer due to their fight.

A bench of Justice J Chelameswar and Justice Abhay M Sapre said this should not deprive people of their legitimate due.
