Defending champions India continued their imperious form in the T20 cricket World Cup for the blind as they hammered West Indies by 142 runs in their second match at the Nahar Singh Stadium here on Tuesday.

Put in to bat first, India opener Deepak Malik smashed 13 boundaries in his quick-fire knock of 80 off 46 balls.

He also stitched a crucial 89-run partnership with Sunil (unbeaten at 113), who also struck 21 boundaries in his knock, to guide India post a mammoth total of 305 runs.

In reply, West Indies failed to counter India's bowling attack as they were restricted to 163-5 in their stipulated 20 overs.

Dennal Deboya Shim (40) and Kevin Andrew Douglas (27*) were the notable contributors for the West Indies.

Deepak, Ajay Kumar Reddy and Dunna Venkatesh all chipped in with a wicket for the home side.

Earlier on day 1, India kicked off their campaign on a winning note as they crushed Bangladesh by 129 runs at IIT Ground in New Delhi on Monday.

India will now take on arch-rivals Pakistan at Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium tomorrow.
