After India registered a 2-1 win over South Africa in the recently concluded T20I series, opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan made a significant upward movement in the ICC T2OI Rankings for batsmen.

The aggressive batsman was the highest scorer in the series with 143 runs. His fine form helped him jump 14 places to grab a career-best 28th spot.

Meanwhile, skipper Virat Kohli slipped three places to number six after his 27-run performance in the two matches that he played in the T20Is against Proteas.

The top spot among batsmen is taken by New Zealand opener Colin Munro while Australia's Glenn Maxwell became the top-ranked all-rounder.

The latest update ICC T20I Rankings include performances in the Trans-Transman series in New Zealand that also featured Australia and England, a three-match series in South Africa that India won 2-1, and Sri Lanka's 2-0 win over hosts Bangladesh.

Left-handed Munro has gained three slots after scoring 176 runs in the Trans-Transman series, which came with the help of two fifties and a strike-rate of almost 210.

Maxwell regained the top slot for all-rounders scoring 233 runs and grabbing three wickets in the tournament.

Among bowlers, Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was awarded the Man of the series for claiming seven wickets in all, moved up by 20 places to reach the 12th spot.

Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan moved up to take top position among bowlers with some fine performances in a 2-0 series win over Zimbabwe.

Rashid has moved up after taking five wickets in the two-match series in Sharjah.

Meanwhile, New Zealand leg-spinner Ish Sodhi gained one position to take the second rank.

In ICC Team Rankings, India have gained one point and South Africa lost one after their closely-fought series and are at third and seventh positions, respectively.

Pakistan are on the top of the table at 126 points but only fractionally ahead of Australia.
