At least 11 Afghan soldiers were killed and nine others injured in a Taliban attack on a military base in Shah Wali Kot district of Kandahar province of Afghanistan.
The attack took place on Monday night, reports the Tolo News citing military sources.
The attack comes a day after six policemen were killed in an insurgent attack in southern Helmand province on Sunday night.
A day earlier, 20 local and national policemen were killed in clashes with Taliban insurgents in southern Zabul province.
Militants have continuously targeted Afghan security forces. In one of the deadliest militant attack on Afghan soldiers, Taliban insurgents carried out a coordinated attack last month on an army base in the northern Balkh province killing around 150 soldiers and injuring more than 100 others.
