The labour wing of the Trinamool Congress , the Indian National Trinamool Trade Union Congress (INTTUC), staged a protest here on Monday against the assault on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew, Abhishek Banerjee.
Holding TMC labour wing flags, the protestors chanted slogans, holding the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) responsible for the attack on Abhishek.
Abhishek, who is the president of the youth wing of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), was slapped by a youth on Sunday while addressing a rally in East Midnapore District.
