Good news for all the Lana Condor and Noah Centineo fans, as 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' is officially getting a sequel.
The duo will reprise their roles as Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky in the upcoming film.
Centineo announced in an Instagram video that the hit rom-com will be getting a sequel. While Condor too shared her excitement for the upcoming project, she posted a video on her Instagram, where the two stars can be seen video calling and sharing the happy news with their fans.
In the video, Condor is thinking of what to gift her co-star, Centineo, for Christmas. Then, he calls her, and they both later shared the sequel news. After that, Condor picks up another call, presumably from another actor, and says, "You're going to make a perfect John Ambrose."
This drops a hint that a new actor will take on the role of John Ambrose McLaren, a character who was played in the first film, briefly, by Jordan Burtchett, and may have a more pivotal role in the new movie.
"It's happening! So excited to announce #ToAllTheBoysSequel is coming soon.... let's do this @ncentineo@jennyhan @toalltheboysnetflix @netflix," the actor wrote alongside the post.
There were rumours of a sequel in the works, but Netflix was yet to announce the deal until today.
The movie is based on Jenny Han's 2014 novel of the same name. The storyline and chemistry between the lead actors garnered immense appreciation from both the critics and the audience.
In an interview with Rollercoaster magazine, Condor called her relationship with Centineo "beautiful" and said he was "a great friend of mine in real life," reported E! Online.
In an interview with USA Today, Centineo said that their chemistry is real, but also confirmed that they are not dating.
"There's something so great about platonic intimacy. We love each other dearly and we've been there for each other at different times and periods. So it is genuine," he had said.
